We Must Obey God Rather Than Human Beings Acts 5:27-32

The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the High Priest. "We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name," he said. "Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man's blood." Acts 5:27-28 Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than human beings! The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead--whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. We are witnesses of those things and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him." Acts 29-32. "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award me on that day--and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8. ...But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that face the judgement, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." Hebrews 9:26-28. Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Phillip pans 2:8-11. 3/27/23

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, Colossians 2:6 NIV Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Colossians 2:7?-?8 NIV, great poem, love it
