We Flew the Coop

We meet with some friends once a week
One couple makes war when they speak
He can’t do what’s right
She starts a big fight
Our dinners with friends end up bleak!

This happens a lot I must say
Each time we go out we all pray
These two will keep still
Not each other kill
And ruin our fantastic day!

Last time we went out with this group
The waitress came by with our soup
Our friend with a snap
Poured it on his lap
Embarrassed we all flew the coop!

haha. I love how you told it limerick style. I have three "situations" in my mind for this contest. I am trying to decide between mentioning all three or just focusing on one. I think limerick would only work by focusing on one, but maybe another form of poetry could do for all three stories. thanks for what you said about my enjambment. It's the very thing our judge did NOT like about my poem!!
