We Are the Aliens
The Universe is 90 billion light years across
To comprehend that number, I'm at a loss
So many trillions and trillions of planets and stars
We've moved well beyond, 'Is there life on Mars?'
Astronomer-types insist there just has to be
Intelligent life out there somewhere, most certainly
Yet my hunch is that the life we've been seeking
We can find in the mirror whenever we're peeking

two articles on discovering intelligent life in the universe
in this month's issue of 'Discover Magazine.'
