We All Have Talents
We all have talents
I usually covet ones I do not have
I neither dance or sing
However, I am fascinated by the gift of both
People ask me to sing softly when I sing
When I dance they use words like “freestyle”
“frenzy” *crazy” “zany” and “with abandon”
The best part of my dancing is that others
are less self-conscious and will get up and try
My dancing takes the perfection out of this talent
I clap on the half beat like Willie Nelson’s band
I know he’s not going to hire me or ever know
I am okay with flunking music class
