Wayward Hope
To think the unthinkable
To live the unlivable
To dream the impossible
And seek the unreachable
Going where I'm going
First being where I've been
The courage to conquer it all
It has to come from within
Cracked like a cinder block
It keeps reviving itself
It lingers on to keep me strong
It'll take me through to the end
One moment fleeting
But always on guard
It has a life of its own
And pushes on diligent yet worn
Just when I think it's sunken too low
It rises up with a force and lets itself be known
A drifter at times yet always so close
That Wayward Hope that knows me as Home
