Wayfarer's Prayer
Here, as I start, cause feels empty;
Seek peace of heart to tread softly...
With simple rhymes, hear my story;
Lines said in time, a tale of me:
I asked for joy to see the light;
Yet pain employs my sense of sight.
I asked for smiles to live with joy;
Yet hard work piles what life deploys.
I asked for ease to gladly live;
Yet tears don't cease until I give.
I asked for words to touch and heal;
Yet pain is heard in heart and will.
I asked for signs to show the way;
Yet strain aligns both night and day.
I asked for truth to set me free;
Yet see no proof to be happy.
I asked for fear to go away;
Yet I bleed tears in hollow days.
I asked for grace to comfort me;
Yet I frame space to tend kindly.
I stop asking for now I see:
Stillness voicing grand harmony!
Here at the end, I start again:
A still voice trends though not in vain!
To end, just start -- to start, just end...
Life sparks bold art, love paints all trends.
