Watching the Flowers Fall

I am sitting on a park bench Listening to the sound of my music Staring off into the distance As a tree catches my eye It is dotted with yellow flowers There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of flowers dotting the tree They drift to the ground soundlessly No one else noticed the loss Of the one beautiful flower Among the thousands of flowers Dotting the beautiful tree It is one among many And will not be remembered Nor will it be missed

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Lord's blessings be with you.
