Watching Football

I'm watching football, while the wind Is kicking up outside. A storm has been predicted, Says the weather channel guide. The sun's still shining so we sit, Enjoying chips and beer, Ignoring all the signs that A tornado may come near. Although I'm not a football fan, We'll watch despite the weather, 'Cause it's a rare occurrence When my family gets together.

My sentiments, exactly. My husband's family is definitely a football family. I'm not a football fan, but I am a fan of the family I watch it with. I grew up with basketball, and still love it, but I sit and watch football without complaint.

Oh, this is so cute. I marvel at your ability to reach within and pull all the poetry out that you do. I can't do it.
