Wasted Life
If I told you that I'd love you
For one day a week, or 52 days a year
Would you get excited when
You knew that one day was coming near
Then hurt when I left you
Knowing I could give you more would tear you apart
And while you cried I just pacified you by saying
" It's all good, you know my heart"
How then do you think God feels
Knowing he gave all just to keep you by his side
Yet he only gets conjugal visits, with his blood bought bride
When he watches you make decisions
Without even considering Him
Then come to see him on Sunday
Singing spiritual songs and hymns
And truthfully our time to live this life
Is quickly winding up
And how can you pour out worship
From an empty cup
And some of you are saying
"but we're doing it right"
But on a global scale of the body of Christ
You're equivalent to the ear
But don't be discouraged
Be the ear that hears what the Spirit is saying to the church
Shine so brightly others crave your presence
Because they realize your spiritual worth
Are you pulling out everything
That Christ invested in you
Being the the faithful steward making profit
Or are you sitting on it waiting for the master to return to you
I encourage you today
Make him happy to call the church his wife
His blood paid the price
Now don't waste HIS life
