Washed Up
Washed Up
Ever had the feeling that you've had enough
Life kicks you in the teeth and you feel washed up
Like a ship in a bottle sailing stormy seas
It's a never ending struggle brings you to your knees
When life brings you down gotta bounce back up
Take a deep breath suck it in buttercup
Dig deep stand tall get over it all
Hold your head up high eyes front don't cry
Ever tried so hard still not made the grade
Gave it your best shot lost the cards you played
Shook the bottle hard took the wind from the sails
Felt like your life was heading off the rails
When you feel so low gotta take a deep breath in
Suck it all up 'cause one day you'll win
Give it all you got give it one more shot
Stand up to the pain try it over again
Ever felt washed up when it all goes wrong
And the radio's on but plays the wrong song
Take a deep breath in and count up to ten
Let it out real slow then do it over again
Ever thought you had it in the palm of your hand
Only then your dream crumbles like it's sand
So you stare at the bottle and you open the lid
Empty the contents not knowing you did
Wake up in the morning with a head real sore
Check out the bottle but there is no more
Head for the shower turn it to full power
Wash away your dreams as the water steams
Ever felt washed up when it all goes wrong
And the radio's on but plays the wrong song
Take a deep breath in and count up to ten
Let it out real slow then do it over again
Ever woken up feeling broken and lost
Found the bottle lying in the bin you tossed
Looked out of the window watched the world go by
Unaware of the tears falling as you cry
Turn and look around at the mess you're in
Life a big struggle now you need to dig in
Give it one more shot give it all you got
Keep going don't stop you'll reach the top
Ever felt washed up when it all goes wrong
And the radio's on but plays the wrong song
Take a deep breath in and count up to ten
Let it out real slow then do it over again
