Was it truly your choice to live in a world that fills you only with anger and sadness
Was it truly your choice to live in a world that fills you only with anger and sadness
Was it truly your choice to live in a world that fills you only with anger and sadness,
To drown in your silent fury and that of your comrades, until silence becomes a painful cry?
Did you choose for your limbs to twitch, to fight, for your feet to kick, your hands to scratch,
Or is it just an ancestral reflex, an instinctual reaction to the threat floating in the air?
Was it your conscious decision to survive, after being forced to understand
That if you stop, you're no longer yourself, but just a shadow of who you once were?
Did you choose not to die, to continue breathing, feeling, suffering, still hoping,
Or is it just the primordial fear of nothingness that fuels each heartbeat?
Isn't this what will happen if you cease to make this choice moment by moment,
If you give up the continuous struggle with the waves of life threatening to swallow you in the depths?
Does water choose to boil, or is it the fire we light beneath it that dictates?
Tell me, was it truly your choice to exist in this cruel and indifferent world?
In the uninterrupted flow of thoughts, you wonder if you're truly master of your destiny,
Or just a leaf carried by the changing winds of fate, without real control,
Each breath, each gesture, each word - are they the result of your free will,
Or just reactions programmed by past experiences, by society, by the instinct of survival?
You look in the mirror of consciousness and wonder who is the person returning your gaze,
Is it your true self or just a construction of circumstances and external pressures?
The anger boiling inside you, the sadness flooding your soul - are they truly yours,
Or are they emotions induced by a world that seems to feed on your suffering and despair?
In this deep meditation on existence and free will, you feel lost,
Floating in an ocean of unanswered questions, seeking a beacon in the night of uncertainty,
And yet, in the midst of this inner chaos, you feel a spark of resistance, of self-will,
A burning desire to reclaim your life, to make conscious choices, to truly be yourself.
Perhaps the answer is neither black nor white, but somewhere in the shades of gray of reality,
Perhaps your choice is precisely to continue asking, seeking, discovering yourself,
To transform anger into action, sadness into empathy, uncertainty into curiosity,
And thus, step by step, breath by breath, to create your own path through this world.
