its a heartbreaking disease, to see your loved one lose their memory and dignity is beyond sad.. a lady I know isn't 60 yet, shes now like a child and has to be put in care as her hubby could no longer cope with her:-( hugs Jan xx

It is, indeed, Jan. I have experienced it in my own family. I am so grateful that, at my age, I apparently still have a sound, functioning mind. But...you never know.....

Oh my. I hope not, but it's a possibility that some already suffer that fate and don't even realize it.

Oh, I am sure of that, Jenna. In fact, I think dementia sets in so slowly that many folks do not realize they are afflicted with it until it is too far gone to even treat effectively.
