Wanted: Mongoose

WANTED:
Mongoose!

I need to borrow a mongoose!
I'm tired of this snake in my house!
And turn that little rascal loose
On every lizzard, snake, and mouse!

No--wait! Not the lizard. He's fine.
But that snake--need to cook his goose!
He could stay--OUTSIDE--INSIDE's mine!
Nope! There he is! Still on the loose!

               SNAKE

              WANTED:
          A MONGOOSE
        TO  GET  RID  OF

                CREEP

Robert Pettit July 27, 2012 at 11:14 AM Those mongoose beasts are vicious little mothers. They were transplanted to many Pacific islands to get rid of snakes, but folks found out the little animals are also very fond of chickens. Interesting write.

Terry L. Allen May 29, 2012 at 10:15 AM As a child I read Rikki Tikki Tavi and this brought all of that back. Black snakes eat things in the wild that we want to be rid of so if you can trap it. Just be thankful that it is not a blue racer as they love to chase anything that moves. One thing that is for sure if you had any mice in your house they are gone now. Huggs TLee
