Wandering Away

When did we grow up? When did we think imagination was not worthy of our time? When we thought we were a superhero with just a blanket on our backs When our eyes sparkled at the word, play When we were as free as the wind was whipping past as we soared on our bikes When we splashed in the bathtub water believing we were swimming with whales, sharks, and turtles in mcelligot's pool When was the last time you said hi to your imaginary friend? They miss you. When was the last time you looked up at the stars and thought what it would be like to hold one in your hands? Feeling the warm glow of something so pure The light illuminating your face and the wonder sparkling in your eye Where does it go? Surely it doesn’t go away right? Can we go back to Neverland?

I often think this and why becoming a teenager has changed me from being free and not self-conscious to always wondering if everybody is judging me. This poem is very relatable.
