Walls

i sit alone confined between these 4 walls if they could talk they’d have hidden secrets to tell exposing the hardened exterior i dispel during my darkest hours my foundation strong and firm crumbles to shallow puddles offering no return the brokenness i try to hide made visible to outside eyes i sit alone confined between these 4 walls trapped in the garden of my mind walking through the vines of my troubles i watch as my petals grow undefined wilting and falling beneath my feet collecting petals making them perfectly aligned so no one can see the damaged parts inside i grow comfortable here in a place free of those who are insincere enclosed in the petals sprouting from my soul protecting me from being seen as unwhole
