Walking through the woods
Surrounded by the oaks
Whose whispering leaves sigh
Inspiring the heart to listen
With an eagerness, an elation
Breathless as the imagination
Walking through the forest
Surrounded by pine and spruce
Whose wistful needles groan
Reflecting on the promises
Earth’s music rains a chorus
Insight into the heart’s hopes
Walking through the thickets
Surrounded by birch and bark
Whose rustling leaves breathe
Enchanting, enlightening, enthused
By the wonder, the joy, the peace
Brought to life in this brush
Walking through the timbers
Surrounded by silence, yet hints
Words poured out on the earth
Grace in light’s contemplation
Prayers prayed with stimulation
Discovered on the tree’s praises
Walking through the woods
Surrounded by the saplings and shrubs
My heartbeat echoes the aspiration
Love falling into the heart’s awakening
Blessings from the poetry they recite
With verses intended to rouse delight
Walking through the woods…
Listening to the sonnets and rhymes
The heartfelt promises of life
Spoken by branches filled with wisdom
Penetrating truths reassure, accept
Bring the spirit sparks of direction
Walking through the woods…
What I find – is fluent peace
Surrounding me with its serenity
Stirring my hopes and dreams
With the promise of joy so satisfying
It feels like a God inspired tranquility
