Walking My Daughter Down the Aisle

Wedding Day, Lake Tahoe, 2001 Walking my daughter down the aisle, Oh how very painful that was for me. For in all her resplendent bridal glory, Only a lovely child I could see! The sweet little girl jumping rope, Or the days she played Mommy. She was and still is, my angel child. I got number and number with step we took.  I felt truly that my world was ending. Then that moment, oh that moment. That final kiss as a Mommy~~ And yes, I gave my angel child away! Those days of Cheerios, cartoons and candy, No more bubble baths or combing her hair. In a split second, vanished, Like rainbow bubbles lifted heavenward, Into the warmth of the Lake Tahoe air. Panagiota Romios 3/30/2019

Such a sweet, but melancholy poem Panagiota. Good read. Blessings, Susan

Dearest Susan, I think this is one of my best poems and how ironic, gets the least of all responses. My sillier ones do? In any case. Susan, I do appreciate all responses. And you are one terrific poet with depth. I appreciate you, greatly. Huggs and thanks. Panagiota
