Wake Up

My pain runs deep like the Red Sea God has parted it, opening up my eyes for me to see a clear view, the past in my review is forever dead to me my pen is just a middle man I make bleed My life in these lines for you to read The reason we are different Cuz I really done lived it So much BS'll have you livid But now I'm like deuces good ridden Bible says cuz of Jesus I'm forgiven So I'm going to give him the wheel My wounds he will heal See real recognize real And salvation is free, you couldn't ask for a better deal I'm living proof God's word is the truth See they ain't even aiming no more hanging out the window, they just letting loose Pushing poison, messing with the youth Don't matter what race you are, we all out here hanging ourself All the b******* the media be feedin ya, you forget, there's always strings attached to the help ALL this covid stuff is bad for your health Fake concerns for your wealth All these deaths Covered up by these checks We don't even see it but we're failing the test United we stand, divided we fall, that's when we're at our best Black lives matter, but flatlined lives matter too This is bigger than being about me, or being about you The reason I became a writer Cuz I'm not a statistic Or a 25 to lifer I'm a fighter A survivor Learned a lil wiser I might fall, but I'm definitely a riser Each time head a lil higher Realized the devil is liar Now it's my choice Not to be quiet, but to raise my voice I think mankind's morality could use a hoist We got to stop the hate, and in Jesus name come together and rejoice.
