Wake Our Dawns As True Beautiful Flightless Angels

Wake Our Dawns As True Beautiful Flightless Angels Sweet small offerings I give to you Till your hands say a fine hello The months wear thinly our hungers I can almost hear your voice Standing in the valley of abstinence Nights peering into blasting moonlight Out of my deep loving heart Flows great winds of sheer desire I pause, living for your breath You that make this dear world spin With kisses born to forever gift Soon you may live for each other's breath We wake our dawns as true beautiful flightless angels Your tender heart fluttering for more Of our nights on the lush green veranda Our hugs that beg don't ever let go You my darling, are the cool winds of love And I the brave sentry of our journeys I bring you little things anew Until your tiny fingers learn to hold Nothing can our true love defeat For its truth that is Heavenly sent And we are together deeply united Our love, the mountain that shall never fall. Robert J. Lindley, Verse May 13th, 1972 Note: May 14th,1972 ""To you darling I swear my love and everything.""

Dear Robert. Hello. This is poetry in the truest form and essence starting with your title to which you never strayed. This is one of those entries that must be read out loud with emphasis and feeling. Excellent work. Thank you for sharing your skilled talent. May this day find you well. Blessings always (smile)

Ahhh, young love. So naive, so fresh, so exciting. Rarely lasts though, as we both know, right? Well done

Thank you, my friend. Yes everything was new back then. I was wild and very young and tried so many new things. Girls were one of those things. Here I am 51 years later and still I cannot figure out the female mind. God bless you.

a romantic creation, Robert. I remember how the 70s were--a romantic time when young hearts and hormones intertwined. Nicely done, sir.

You know Bill I never wrote many Verse poems. This is one of the few that survived. God bless you.

Well, thank you my good friend. I was but a very young lad at the time of writing this one. It is one of the very few Verse poems from my youth that has survived. I posted it as it was first composed without any edits. God bless you, my friend.
