Wake Our Dawns As True Beautiful Flightless Angels
Wake Our Dawns As True Beautiful Flightless Angels Sweet small offerings I give to you Till your hands say a fine hello The months wear thinly our hungers I can almost hear your voice Standing in the valley of abstinence Nights peering into blasting moonlight Out of my deep loving heart Flows great winds of sheer desire I pause, living for your breath You that make this dear world spin With kisses born to forever gift Soon you may live for each other's breath We wake our dawns as true beautiful flightless angels Your tender heart fluttering for more Of our nights on the lush green veranda Our hugs that beg don't ever let go You my darling, are the cool winds of love And I the brave sentry of our journeys I bring you little things anew Until your tiny fingers learn to hold Nothing can our true love defeat For its truth that is Heavenly sent And we are together deeply united Our love, the mountain that shall never fall. Robert J. Lindley, Verse May 13th, 1972 Note: May 14th,1972 ""To you darling I swear my love and everything.""
