Waiting On a Moonbeam
Waiting on a moonbeam
~
Oh come with me a’ strolling
on this cool November day
Throughout a blushing forest,
endless beauty on display
Where we will find a pathway
winding silent midst the trees
Scented sweet of evergreen
so soft upon the breeze
Beneath majestic branches
swaying gaily in the sky
Creating waltzing shadows
where the two of us now lie
While pastel leaves are falling,
drifting colors on the ground
Forming Autumn’s tapestry
with no one else around
Holding you so closely
as the day comes to an end
Moments spent in harmony
that twilight whispers send
Waiting on a moonbeam
soon to glow down from above
This cool November evening
meant to share with one you love
Good night Soupers
