Waiting Alone
She sits alone
waiting ....
waiting for her lover,
today would have been there wedding day.
her dreamy lace dress is laid out on her bed.
She sits alone.
Hair braided to carry her veil
yet now she sits with averted eyes,
not wanting to speak to anyone.
Does he love her she wonders?
Will he return?
As she sits alone.
Where did he go!
Why not tell her, he was going away,
the pain in her heart is overwhelming
why is he hurting her so,
will I ever smile again, she ponders
as she sits...alone
Looks down at her fingers
where her wedding band should be.
tears start to fall down her face
heart broken in pieces....
She waits.... sitting alone.
