Waiting
I love when the leaves wave at me in the breeze
And the flowers peek through grass to show their faces
I live in one of the most beautiful places
We are braced for a tropical storm today
Caution here for falling trees and flooding rivers on the way
It’s dark as evening in the afternoon with gray skies all around
For now, the birds are not making a sound
But, a few still visit and sit on branches nearby
As others move on, continuing to fly
It’s wet, it’s ominous, as we will wait this through
Patience does evolve with anything to pursue
