Waiting

I love when the leaves wave at me in the breeze And the flowers peek through grass to show their faces I live in one of the most beautiful places We are braced for a tropical storm today Caution here for falling trees and flooding rivers on the way It’s dark as evening in the afternoon with gray skies all around For now, the birds are not making a sound But, a few still visit and sit on branches nearby As others move on, continuing to fly It’s wet, it’s ominous, as we will wait this through Patience does evolve with anything to pursue Heidi Sands 8/22/21

I believe, deep in my heart of hearts, that you, Heidi Sands, are the only woman on earth who could write such a glowing, sunny tribute to the 'ominous storm at hand!' Your first three lines are amazing, esp. given what follows! Hats off to you! :) gw

Hopefully the storm will stay south of you. I see your images in this wonderful description--as if I am there seeing what you see. Stay safe, Heidi.

Hello Heidi, oh to wait for the storm to be over must feel like time is passing by slowly. How awful to go through something like that. Hugs.

Hello Heidi, The birds don't sing or fly because they know a storm is coming. Yes things are well thank you. Hugs.

Yes. Patience Darlene, patience. The heavy rain hasn't started yet and a branch is already on the roof due to being saturated from prior rain. Thank you for your visit and comment. It is strange not hearing the daily birds sing. I hope all is well . Hugs :)
