W hen we are aware of racial and social injustice O ur temperature rises and our blood pressure shoots up, K indling a deep desire to embrace progressive activism E asing into the mainstream from African-American vernacular English written July 30, 2021 (After reading about the origins of the word "woke" in our contemporary idiom and coming to believe many people do not have the faintest idea what the term "woke" means!)

Don't thank me; thank the research I did to discover the meaning of WOKE and how it came into current usage. Before that I couldn't figure it out, either.
