~Winter~ (Whitney) Winters here Can be so cold Temperature Goes down a lot And sometimes Just starts snowing Streets get covered by white snow Many folks Aren't happy cause They're getting All this much snow For three months It seems too long But some people like winter Some play hard And skii mountains Just have fun Nothing stop them Love cold, snow Children enjoy Make snowmen and throw snowballs. I love snow, at least seeing it fall and how it gives beauty to where it falls, but soon enough it becomes problematic. Being from the south and having spent a winter in Iowa Quad Cities once working at Rock Island Arsenal I grew to dread it. You captured the contradictions of it with skillful adeptness.
