God help you indeed ;), Thank you! One of those poems that wrote themselves less is mo. xomo!

Another one I must have missed Maureen while on vacation. This is a great poem, but unless I read wrong, it could be used as a battered wives or children poster. That saddens me. But, unfortunately, reality often does. I hope you're seeing this one through Maureen. HUGS

I did that on purpose; open to interpretation. The reality does make me sad sometimes... but I'm working on my wings. While my brain is so freaking exhausting, my stubbornness works for me. Thank you my friend, hugs!

I may be wrong but I read "Beat me I love you."…You`re such a good poet Maureen, and I sense a good person as well.

Thank you so much Charlie. There is some of that, for sure. It's been a helluva journey to forgiveness and understanding. xomo

As poets we often write what we live, I hope you weren’t abused as a child I myself was bullied but I survived it. Or am I missing the meeting here?

Thank you for asking Robert. I was but this isn't that. I think less leaves more room for personal interpretation. The inside scoop, I suffered a brain injury years ago, a result of the damage is a hyperactive amygdala, and my temperament is such that I lash in not out, I beat myself.

Maureen, Interesting poem. I noticed no one asked at the intriguing title 'Visibility Spell'. Don't you usually wish for an invisibility spell (or Harry's cloak)? -Richard

I always wished for flying first. ;), But seriously, thank you for noting that. Exactly that. Invisible pains wishing to be seen. Hidden disabilities, mental illness, and of course, abuse. Thank you Richard, xomo

There is something cathartic in pain, this captures it so well-

I like this poem greatly because it made me think for a considerable time about if the bruises were given to her or as I am leaning to, she gave them to an abuser
