Vines In Hues

Feathery vines twine and twist with thirst, carefree they journey wither and hither wild; filigree hues of green they grow unrehearsed, staggeringly beautiful- who cannot be beguiled. Flowing from my hanging baskets so pretty, growing in my window boxes quite over reaching; elbowing for space in the pot it really is a pity, showing they are bullies- other blooms beseeching. ________________________ March 3, 2021 Poetry/Lento/Vines in Hues Copyright Protected, ID 03-1333-726-03 All Rights Reserved, 2021, Constance La France

What a surprise for me, to see blooms and bullies in the same stanza. Creative, down-to-earth (so to speak) write, Constance. Nicely done, Gershon

I do love my garden in summer and love to sit out there amid the flowers, butterflies and bees. Well done Constance. God Bless, JB

Very pretty and presented such beauty to my thoughts. You made me chuckle with "elbowing for space in the pot it really is a pity showing they are bullies-" I was just in my backyard looking at my Jasmine, which is also being a bully. Trailing across the ground and up into the branches of my orange tree, it is entwining among the leaves of the tree and I better get that taken care of quickly. It is already taking over much of a branch! Spring has certainly sprung. Your poem is lovely <3
