View From My Window

I survey the wintry-looking landscape rain lashes the window pane and the garden is soaked The bare trees, rose thorns and holly bushes seem to look sad as they stand upon the soggy lawn Jack Horne, 15th January, for Nette’s Through my Window Kimo contest

It always makes me sad looking at the bare trees and soggy lawns as I know winter will soon be upon us and this year we have been very cold that they now say we are in an artic vortex. A new word to describe the cold. Lovely poem Jack. Hope all is well with you. love phyl

Such a different world from mine here in forsaken minnesota. Where rain is froze and gardens white. And trees and bushes grin and bare it among the mounds of snow out on the lawn. The windows frosted, can barely see out. May your garden grow when springtime comes. And mother nature smile at you when winter soon sucumbs. Peace. :)

I think perhaps you have the same sort of climate that we do here in Pacific Northwest. No snow to beautify the soggy picture. Thanks for commenting on my poetry, Jack. You are a dear friend. Love, Joyce
