Notes About The Poem

Dedicated To The Souls - Las Vegas.

Victim

Yesterday I had Hope.
Hope for humanity to fix itself.
Today I find that we have become Victims.
It is all to many falling prey to vicious
mass shootings. Such as the attacks
on our citizens of the famous Las Vegas.
I find that Hope may be fading
for a darker side of life.
How can we help humanity
heal itself of these afflictions?
What will be a good end to
all the killings?
We talk about
Gun Control Policies.
What really can be done
to cure Hate
and, bring
the country together?
I can find no other
solution, but love
for one anoither.
To erase Hate
from our vocabulary.
To care for one
at a time each person
we may meet.
To teachg our young that the diffences is what makes us great together.
Stop the brickering among ourselves about our differences.
Show by example your Love for Humanity.
Show by your Love for one another that Humanity exist.
Decrease the violence.
Increase your worth.
Bring back Hope.
Bring back Peace.
Get Rid Of The Guns.

Great thoughtful dedication, Marilyn, one can only hope for love... I like the way you have shaped it in the form of a gun:)

Hope is on shaky ground in my heart, but I will try to have faith in humanity. Thanks for your plea and reminder not to succumb to hopelessness. ~ john

Every time something like this happens, there's talk, talk, talk, and no action, action, action. Thanks for your passionate write.

Talk is good. No action is not. Take it from me, there will be action; you just won't see it. Thank you for your response.

Hi Marilyn, I agree 100% with this well written and truthful write. The last line sumed it all up. What happened in Vegas shouldn't have never happened. Everyone on the soup should this poem today . If ratings were still an option this would have been an easy seven-Alexis

I could find no better way to extend my condolences for that which has gone on far too long. Thank you for your response.
