Veterans Day 2021

Veteran’s Day 2021 Thoughts of Miracle Man November 11, 2021 I always feel dread around Veterans day, because I’m forced once again to remember. Those who stood in the gap and have had to pay, or living life in some state of dismember. My thoughts always return to my brother Joe, A career soldier of twenty-three plus years. This Vietnam vet still remains my hero, his shadow box today, induces my tears. His four tours in Vietnam were just too much, his disappearance was always thought unkind. Seems most of his life he was beyond our touch, He couldn't un-see images burned in his mind. In prayer, I ask God, did he just not care, seems his life was lived beyond family's touch. While deployed he had our diet of prayer, but today to Joe D's memory I clutch.
