Vanished Gardens

Friends that dessert you, Are like vanished gardens. You cannot bring them back. The joys, the scents are ephemeral. In your misty dreams, their joy returns But in the morning…your heart yearns. You recall their magnolia scent….. That is to be………never more. They left you, to honor others. They are gone behind that closed door. Marked in lilac……”Forevermore.” 2/2/2023

Haunting... and true! ... As for that 'closed door:' There's a new book out titled 'Learn How to Keep a Secret,' by Isadore Shut. (I'll go away now...)
