Vagabond's Friend

Can you persuade a nickel to become a dime? Give a quarter if you care about the vagabond at the corner Would you stop and give a damn? Can you convince a dollar to magically transform into 10 dollars Then give it to a woman collecting bottles and cans and every Day for the rest of your life, smile and give her more if you can afford Does it cause you illness to converse on such a thing? Or would you persecute and abolish a practice absolutely absolute? Can you even compose such a THOUGHT to put WANT at ease? Let's see pass the buck, don't UP CHUCK I've seen a man who had to throw his DIGNITY into the Garbage bin just to retrieve a half eaten chicken leg Maybe I should be his friend but what he really needed Was a plate of food and a few crisp hundred dollar bills Neither of which I could afford strange thing is life goes on As usual the sun keeps rising and shining Rainbows appear like GOD DOESN'T KNOW
