Upwards

I grasp for meaning and the search for my soul And through treacherous canyons do elegantly sail High into infinity, high like an Eagle flying by Reaching Pinnacles of understanding and depth Soaring ever upward reaching out to foe or friend Touching the stars, feeling passion deeply within Free to explore to marvel and to grasp of life Upwards, upwards reaching passed the abyss Soaring on a carpet of blue emerald sea Knowing there is you in everything I see.

the search goes on, the mind travels, heart beat for some, words unravel, and friends do come....

I've read all of your poems, but this one I have to say is my favorite. The imagery just speaks so profoundly on the positives and passions of life and all that it entails. Thank you for writing such beautiful poetry.
