Untitled

He was an ancient warrior from times of old back in the days when the sun was new and the stars at night were brilliant blue like the Canopus star he once knew Often, he was found rummaging the forest looking for the rarest mushrooms as the eagles flew he counted tree rings indenting the roots of his ancestry wings Then one day, he was reborn again in an era of squabble filled with wars silence became an oddity full of slew and "The Sacred" a rarity hidden in full view They tagged him "bipolar" with doctorate degree this was a world of medicine & mental deficiency yesterday he howled at the moon * starkly stars today he is a sad man, longing for a trip to Mars He, ancient warrior of days of old fights the good battle everyday, mistletoe on oak, he holds his staff all the time knowing time does pass. Had to return for another in-depth reading, Vie. Even though some don’t agree with me, it’s important for some of us to be on medication. Like Abilify, which is an antipsychotic med. because without this controlling, psychosis is very difficult to live with for those who suffer from it, and it hurts those around who love them. I believe medication can help many people to cope, if it is helping you live a better life, then that is good. I'm glad you got the help you need W. W. there are many that don't, so know your being held in prayer, and you will always have a friend in me, take care

such a soulful write about those who suffer from bipolar disorder. Many are like your friend, 'a sad man, longing for a trip to Mars. Our neighbor is bipolar and is desperate some days, weary of the day-to-day struggles with his 'oddity.' Nicely written, Rose. Have a great evening, Sara

I have a friend who's daughter committed suicide at 40, it was the saddest funeral I ever attended. Wish there was more help and less stigma involved with it. Thank you for your caring comment Sara

This is such a soul-stirring write truly reflecting how in the modern world people are judged instead of being given empathy with kind understanding.. Your wordplay is so impeccable hede & the emotions expressed are so palpable. I can resonate with this as I know a close relative with bipolar.. Hi Vie; I don't know an artist that, by the professionals would not be labelled, this or that; a little more this perhaps a little less that -- with an extra smidgen of something else, maybe a recycled parcel of Bedlam or modernized new all-knowing mesmerizing (all the same treatment...Drugs!) -- I like your nomenclature better/best~ Friend!! Drugs have their side effects and one of them is suicidal thoughts lol, go figure. People are often treated as Guinea Pigs for doctors who are not sure what to give. They don't have a real cure for the soul maladies , but oh how they try, Thanks for reading Joe

I don't believe in labels a smart psychiatrist one told me that when a new patient arrives he hides the folder in his drawer and judges for himself first, wish more people would do that, judge for themselves. thanks for reading Tom
