Untitled
My head is laying breathlessly and all…lost it all…
On the cold, cobble-stoned floor…or was it a wall?
You had everything under control, you were on the ball
Until you made a mighty great, disappointing fall
I stood tall before I was in appall
You didn’t notice my missed call
Left an unanswered, alone seagull
But, no, I won’t lose my cool…cool…
King of many misunderstood towns with a strong grip
Of some smiles and frustration frowns
I wish I was the oddly cool shades and hues, even browns
You and I had a toxic, yet an intoxicating relationship
Underestimated to the max…
The eerie past is like unpaid tax
You keep telling me to relax...
Your words, a weapon…or an ax
Um, what is your main gain?
My giving-in-to-you grain?
Trust takes time to develop
I don’t desire to simply give up,
Oh, of course, that's what's up!
Absurd…
Found you in the abyssal alley way,
You quitter-winning queen of qualms
You put sane to shame, like me, today
Reducing me to senseless, sweaty palms
Awkward…
You already knew, I sure knew you knew
The heartless damage that you would do
Don’t try to deny it or push it aside as usual
Honey, know this, I won’t be played as the fool
Wise in my youth,
But lost like you
I’m a loose tooth…
Got to let go too
