Unseen Wisconsin Falls

hidden in thick growth lush forests seen narrow road off highway an even narrow path leads to the falls bubbling over rocks off somewhere fading sun and shadows silence of dusk falling, I’m falling into a dream brief conversations with nature something left unsaid check in at a hotel darkness hides the land philosophical conversations about destinations with the clerk at the gas station a lone truck rumbles through the crossroads on the way to somewhere red lights streak darkness moments of solitude to ponder
