Unmoved, Untouched

As paths cross once again This time I remain Unmoved, untouched This heart does not scorch It will not revisit the past For fear it will not last A touch of sadness settles, yet mixed with peace Friends we can be forever, but this heart’s out of reach ~*~

Sometimes too much damage has been done to try and resurrect old feelings, Annalise. It is wise to stay in the present and let the feelings of sadness subside. Friends are forever though, and I'm glad to have a forever friend like you. Another great poem straight from your heart. Love, Carolyn

I must tell you there have been so many diverse poems shared here at PoetrySoup yesterday and this morning that I am just now being able to read. Each one is a treasure to the poet who wrote it. It is a pleasure to me to be able to read them. I am so happy yours was among the ones I have read today Audrey. Love, Carol
