Unknown But Never Forgotten

I want you to know I am not forgotten and those that knew me, make me known in their hearts and minds. I believed in a cause to protect my fellow brothers and sisters, to risk my life and to gladly serve. To protect this great nation for future generations. To crawl, to be shot at, to be wounded, to die. To leave behind my children, my wife, my family and friends. All for the cause, for my Nation, for what I believe is the right thing to do and have done. I see you bringing flowers, and laying them down, in appreciation for my actions. Sometimes I lose a tear in watching you give thanks to me. I get to know all of you who come and visit us Here. We might not be known, but we are never Forgotten You see for I reside in a Special Place, that place is The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier Michael Tor

Oh Michael, congratulations on your POTD honor, this poem is so incredibly beautiful! My middle name J is Jo after my dad's cousin who gave his life in WWII. A young paratrooper named Joe. I also have a wounded warrior nephew, my godson who is also named Joe, who too was a paratrooper and was wounded. They gave so much and would do it all again for freedom's sake. This is a FAV. It makes me weep!!!

BJ first I want to say God bless you, your Dad's cousin Joe, and your wounded warrior nephew Godson Joe. What great men you have as your family. I applaud their courage to serve. It is my honor to you to write words that mean so much to you and honor these great men that served. I cannot thank them enough for the sacrifices they made for all of us in this Nation. Heroes they are to all of us, and in each family they are never forgotten but will always be missed and loved. Thank you BJ for your precious comment it means a lot to me to know about their service for our Country. We all are grateful for their service. God bless you again and these special great men...You will always carry on his legacy with your name and be reminded of him. Such a heartfelt compliment to him having his name...

What these brave men have done for us and what they have given up will bring tears when we realize the extent of their effort in providing us with safety and freedom. Congratulations, Michael! All you said I’d so true, but the younger generations do not get it. Too busy learning to be other than the sex they were born. To dislike freedom and our rights. Capitulating to Communism, via a lying press core. After Iraq, people spat on any man in uniform!
