Uninvited Artery To the Heart
The expressions of attraction are coded but audible
sending lovely signals, blinding the eyes to see trouble.
Infectious erotic smoke, the next door is its origin
to and fro sensational exchange, a physical touch is the margin.
Constant peeping and a show of interest begins the sexual inquiry
heat from within with erotic preservatives keeping it from expiry.
Spread of washed underwear makes own matrimonial pie scarce
while the agents of fidelity walk away and disperse.
Homely covered private flesh, dancing at the walking steps of bare feet
drags the demons of the seduced for the longing of an improper meet.
Neighbours seem fine while their spouses long for a sixty nine
she and he are for others, the unknown word is ‘mine’.
Bad intentions increasingly burn as hormones get set to fly
closed door neighbours both hunters and hunteds, the trap isn’t high.
Children in school, spouses at work, the light shows red
ringing the bell for any physical collision to go ahead.
Considering all the true life stories papa told
this won’t be allowed to be caught up in the same cold.
Chemistry changes for this epic event to be tossed aside
the other understands the repenting change of plans and flows in the tide.
