Unforgivable For Now

A stranger knowing nothing says, “forgive”
Evil acts, unforgivable for now
He speaks of something that he did not live

A person’s life misunderstood somehow
No apologies, still trying to cause harm
Evil acts, unforgivable for now

No conscience just lies, causing more alarm
There is justice for a reason by law
No apologies, still trying to cause harm

A stranger didn’t witness what I saw
In the end it will be God who decides
There is justice for a reason by law

There are reasons for where my heart resides
My right is to choose with whom I confide
In the end it will be God who decides

I have a right to my voice or to hide
A stranger knowing nothing says forgive
My right is to choose with whom I confide
He speaks of something that he did not live

A well written poem Heidi, very deep and emotive.. There are always three sides to every story, it always best to listen to two sides, the third is a combination.. Sadly too many insincere people around, who plead innocence when they are the ones who are causing the problems..

I agree with Jan's comments, Heidi. I've always found that the one who tries to convince you that he/she is the innocent party is the one who is guilty. Whereas the person(s) who do not plead their case is innocent and has no need to defend him or herself. Your words are on target, but we must take care that we do not place that target on the back of the innocent.

Hi Lin. Thank you for your visit and comment on this. That's correct about taking care that we do not place any target on the backs of innocent.

I also wrote on unforgivable Heidi and I totally agree with every word you wrote. There are some wicked deeds committed and it is all too easy for people to say you should forgive and forget - its easy for them as they were not involved and not suffering the trauma that can stay with a person for life :-( Hugs jan xx

Yes it is very sad to be taken in by a convincing liar.

Thank you for your understanding comment Jan. I fully appreciate it! And Also, there are those who have committed acts, never owned up to anything and are still causing harm at the present time. Very complex. Take care!

It's one of the toughest things we as humans can do is forgive! And your poem explains a lot of your heartache with your situations you've been through! I feel for you my friend, I hope you can forgive someday, but until then, do your best to get through each day! I surely loved reading your amazing poem here this afternoon! This is a rather exceptional write, such a well thought out piece, Great Work!!
