Under Love's Green Canopy

Under Love's Green Canopy

Love’s golden thread 
binds my heart to yours;
and in beautiful silence,
we lie breathless
in the dark of early morning, 
drifting through fathomless
depths of pure, 
brown-sugared ecstasy,
inhaling the sweet fragrance
of shared delights. 

Nectar-dipped kisses
lingering on the 
nape of my neck,
you caress the curves
of my electrified body, 
and run your fingers
through the silky,
curly tendrils of my hair…
like birds, nesting under the 
green canopy of a Banyan Tree.
