Thank you for the interesting comment...One pair of psychologists developed some kind of 'associative' theory of dreams in the mid 1980's. They felt that random messages, based on the day's/recent activities were sent up to the cortex, and the cortex spent the night making sense of them, weaving them into a narrative...Sounds like poetry/story-telling to me.
