Somehow, Rico, I don't think this is how it's supposed to be...i.e. "a military wife may screw each man on her husband's work crew."

The operative word is "may". Young wives are indeed encouraged to "advance" their husband's career and Post privileges by "contributing" to the esprit de corps. It is called a Post because a Private's life is circulated. Aloha!
