Privacy is a freedom of the past
ubiquitous cell phones took that away,
it was far too precious ever to last.
We now record what neighbors do and say
although we once talked to them face-to-face,
ubiquitous cell phones took that away.
The internet is a chaotic place
where likes are equivalent to a friend,
although we once talked to them face to face.
People shun reality for pretend,
for life's but a fantasy on the net,
where trolls and bullies feel free to offend.
A.I. poses an even direr threat,
humanity's fabric might well unweave;
for life's but a fantasy on the net.
Within the matrix world of make-believe,
privacy is a freedom of the past.
Humanity's fabric might well unweave;
it was far too precious ever to last.
