Can we work to be busy? May we do it till dizzy' Up until 70.' Against a scene of inflation and wage freeze' To be punished by care home costs.! Homes sold, still can't defray' all lost?) Work till the spirits crushed.' Struggle in a system bust Nuclear family, of modernity, sell your soul to a mortgage Fee.' Buy a car' it will soon be old..Wasted assets are The motherlode..Of those who devise the forever wars.' Yet its your fault people..Thats how its been told.' Why arn't you happy? And cheering on bold? Why aren't people in the masses voting on? The charade-parade. And woke marathon!

Dear Joe, I appreciate reading this very much. Totally agree with you. I think retirement age with end up being 73 at the rate things are going. Ridiculous! I work in a hospital and we’ve said one day you won’t know the patients from the staff! I think our government - all parties- are as bad as each other. ‘ work till the spirits crushed ‘ how true! Being a fellow Brit, a very relatable read. Thank you for sharing from one frustrated, dismayed poet to another :)

don't know much about UK politics/elections...but I will say all things political here are a 'woke' nightmare and circus show...very disturbing. I won't go any further. Nicely done.
