Two Up
yes old coins i do have,
pennys from another time,
faces of George v and vi the Kings,
Aussie two up games, a crime,
so you tossed 2 coins up,
and once landed on the ground,
you checked for odds or evens,
when heads or tails were found,
Dad played 2 up on the boat,
to the Middle east,
on the Queen Mary,
to Port Said at least,
a betting on the heads,
seemed to go in his favor,
but cadging mates,
the sum deflates,
the winning coins had fled,
So the Aussie gamblers fought ,
and beat the French Foreign Legion,
in Syria in 1941,
Just a little bit of slaughter,
the odds 2 frogs to one
thank you Anne Lise..
