Two Timing In Wine Country

I hear the footsteps
of a heart broken…
stomping outside the grapes;
vinegar already the grade –
though the failure has yet
to be pressed...his label
appropriately distressed.

Hello Joe Dimino, I once had a favourite wine. i no longer do. I sometimes have flavoured water that has lime. I like it. Yet I do enjoy my Gine with Tonic water.When i do i only have one glass of this drink. Enjoyed your poetry. have a nice day my friend.

Hello Joe DiMino, yes my husband was not worth it. I never seen this side of him until the 4th year of our marriage. He got sick and passed. Poetry soup healed me. I have moved on. Same her i do not like lies either. Enjoy your day my good friend.

Hi Darlene; one faithful in marriage will be faithful in everything else. One is either faithful or not. I can tolerate most differences of opinions, but when someone lies to me, I am turned off forever. It deeply hurts I know, but good you were able to move on. They are not worth it.

We were happy oh so i thought. It happened in Cuba. It ruined my vacation. When we returned to Canada I noticed a change in our marriage. Yes that does hurt. Poetry Soup healed me. I have moved on since then. Your friend Darlene

Hello Joe DiMino, you used wine as a metaphor for cheating! Oh! I can relate to this because it happened to me. Although my husband and i were married a short time -he cheated on me. Now that he is passed, I wonder why he did it. I believe in being faithful in a marriage.

Hi Darlene; enjoy a good Gin and tonic myself. Drinking is not for everyone, but most people I know do it sensibly. Of course, my friends are all retired and have many years learning. So pleased you enjoyed this poem which was less about drinking and more about using wine production as a metaphor for cheating on a mate. Have a beautiful day my friend! Cheers!!

Prince~alcohol is a depressant drug. It's a downer and untrue it shows the real you. This is Panagiota the true, real, sober, Genuine person. Under the influence is cheered? May as well take drugs...many do. Or smoke weed. None of which makes us genuine, PangieXx I replied cuz I live in Wine Country but do not drink~ I am looney as is )) Pangie x

I hear you; some of us are looney enough without any outside help. I do drink, but in moderation. Personally, do not care for wine.xx

The rhyme scheme is great, Joe. Sure works for me. Well-penned! In vino veritas, Gershon

Thank you, Gershon; they say when we are under the influence our true self comes out. God, I'm in trouble:)
