From Humanity's Lost Link

Seeing a man in a dire state— Miserable, lonely and ill, Asked a stranger of kindly will: You think I could be of help mate? Oh sure if you so feel, my friend, Come, hold awhile my helpless hand, In moments that seem yon of mend, All I need-- someone close to stand. The stranger waited there a while And later enquired how he felt: ‘Back from a barren soulless isle, ‘Never have I been better dealt. ‘And from humanity's lost link, ‘Returned have I as if from brink’. _________________________________ Musings | 03.08.05 | Topics: humanity, brotherhood, help, giving
