Two If By Sea
As distant moonlight idles
Nestled in unfluffed clouds
Escaping flashes ripple-dance
Among tall distant pines.
Soft tides erase a lover’s lies
As fog horns mournful wail
Consoles neither moon nor clouds
With rolling salty tears.
