Two If By Sea

As distant moonlight idles Nestled in unfluffed clouds Escaping flashes ripple-dance Among tall distant pines. Soft tides erase a lover’s lies As fog horns mournful wail Consoles neither moon nor clouds With rolling salty tears. ©1/19/2023 Pick-A-Title, Vol 34 – Poetry Contest Edward Ibeh - sponsor
