Two Birds
The canvas of two birds
One large and one small;
Two birds of differing type
Together, yet separated in spirit,
Of one, yet apart.
Age is no barrier but in the eyes of one
Yet younger seems older through common deception.
Love resident with misunderstanding
Yet love to its fullness resides.
Beauty excels with colors evident
But life from within will surface
To enhance the colors which be.
The weather, by force, both gentle and strong
Cries for truth to be shown
As the wind of adversity is the teacher of change.
Strange movements be the persuasion of the Painter's colors;
Colors of unknown origin.
The brush enters beneath the surface
To paint the heart which longs for life.
When the winds finally bring the colors from afar
And the canvas shows the nature complete,
With a smile, the breath of the Painter
Lifts the birds of beauty from death to life.
